Harvest Appeal Donations Support Living Well Bromley’s Vital Services
The generosity of Junior School families and pupils has made a tangible difference to local charity Living Well Bromley, helping to ensure more resources can be directed towards supporting people in need across the community.
In a message of thanks to the school community, Emily Domaingue, Operations Coordinator at Living Well Bromley, said staff were “blown away” by the volume of donations received.
She explained that their weekly supermarket order is a very substantial cost to the charity. Thanks to the support of Eltham College Junior School and other local schools and churches, for the last two weeks those orders have not been needed, meaning more money can be invested in services such as advocacy, counselling and art therapy.
Alongside the collection of donated items, a retiring collection raised a further £170 in support of the charity’s work.
The Harvest Appeal was organised through the Charity Committee, which continues to lead a range of initiatives to support local and national causes throughout the year. The Committee’s next campaign will see pupils selling poppies in aid of the Royal British Legion during breaktimes ahead of Remembrance Day.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Harvest Appeal.
