Moffat House Charity Day: Fun and Fundraising!

Despite the grey skies, spirits were high as Moffat House Charity Day brought the front lawn to life with games, laughter, and the spirit of generosity—all in support of Personal Best Foundation, The Sick Children’s Trust, and International Needs.

Students gathered, keen to enjoy the activities on offer and earn sweets as rewards for their efforts. Small football matches spontaneously broke out across the grass, adding to the lively atmosphere. The penalty shootout drew out the competitive edge in many, while the hoop a duck game proved more challenging than expected—thanks to a flat board and bouncy rubber ducks that made landing a ring surprisingly tricky!

From hooping ducks to sitting ducks, one of the biggest hits of the day was the sponge throw. Sponges were dipped in water and launched at a brave (and soggy) lineup of teachers, coaches, and heads of year. Some students even tried to rope in passing staff members to join the target lineup, earning plenty of laughs as teachers graciously declined the offer.

Overall, Moffat House Charity Day delivered plenty of fun, healthy competition, and solid support for three great causes. Not bad for a grey afternoon.
