Students Participate in Chariots of Fire Race as Final Push for Eric Liddell 100
On Sunday 22nd September, our students participated in the Chariots of Fire race in Cambridge as the final part of their Eric Liddell 100 fundraiser in the pouring rain in under 80 minutes, bringing to a close their exceptional endeavours in aid of the Eric Liddell 100. We are very excited to share that their fundraising efforts will fund a year-long local afterschool athletics club at a local youth centre in partnership with Personal Best Foundation.
Chariots of Fire is a closed road relay around Cambridge city centre and through some of the University’s colleges. The route, which started and finished on the Queens’ Green, and followed approximately a 2 mile route through Cambridge city centre, and through some of Cambridge University’s colleges, each person completed 1 loop before handing over the baton to the next runner.
We are very proud of what our students have accomplished and we look forward to bringing further news of this in due course.
