Eltham College Train to Teach Discovery Day

Eltham College Train to Teach Discovery Day – 3 February 2026

For many years, Initial Teacher Training at Eltham College, provided by the University of Buckingham, has offered a rigorous and practical route into the teaching profession. From the outset, and supported by an in-school mentor, trainees take responsibility for their own classes, applying educational theory directly to their teaching and developing their skills in real time.

If you feel Initial Teacher Training at Eltham College could be for you, and you plan to teach one of the subjects highlighted below, as a first step why not apply to join our Discovery Day on Tuesday 3 February? You will have the chance to explore your pathway into the profession, observing lessons, joining interactive sessions, and meeting our trainee teachers and mentors to gain a real understanding of life at Eltham. This immersive day offers a first-hand look at how our trainees take responsibility for their own classes from the start, supported by expert guidance – and could even be your first step toward joining our trainee teacher programme.

Please note, the Discovery Day is only open to candidates who plan to teach the following subjects: Maths, Economics, Computer Science, Art and DT.
