Eltham College’s Senior School Debating Society has progressed to Round 2 of the English-Speaking Union’s MACE Debating competition following a strong performance in the opening round. The school hosted a very competitive first stage of the tournament, our students impressing the judges with the content and delivery of their speeches.
Representing the Proposition on the motion “This House Would impose a tourism tax in major cities facing overtourism,” the Eltham College team demonstrated clear reasoning and confident delivery, securing their place in the next round of the competition. Well done on a fantastic performance!
