Unforeseen School Closure

In the case of an unforeseen event occurring which makes the closure of the school a possibility, there will be a notice on the school website and a text or e-mail message sent by Eltham Post before 7.00am.

In the event of heavy snow in winter, the school will make every effort to stay open. However, if the weather is bad enough at any stage for the school to close, we will follow the above protocol.

Lost Property

Bags should be kept in lockers or placed on the bag racks. Students must respect the property of others.

All named Lost Property will be returned by the School Office to the students via their Form Tutor.

Enquiries about lost property should be made at the School Office at break time, lunch time and after school Monday to Friday during term time. Parents and students can also check the Lost property log which is updated in real time as items are found.

Unnamed lost property will be kept by the School Office for a limited period of time.

The School Office is located between the science block and main building, next to the glass doors leading to the KGH.  Visitors with cars are asked to please park on the triangle and walk around the front of the school building. Parent Parking

Morning drop-off

On entering the car park, please pull into the left-hand drop-off lane to allow your child to exit the car, and then move away promptly and exit the site.

Do not allow your child to exit your vehicle at the mini-roundabout at the school entrance.

Afternoon collection

Unfortunately, we have limited parking capacity and, wherever possible, please park off-site and walk in to collect your child.

If on-site collection is essential, please do not enter the site until you know your child is in the car park and ready for collection at the pick-up zone. Access to our site is not permitted before 3.30 pm, and our school gates will remain closed until this time. Please do not queue at the gates before they are opened at 3.30 pm.

You must not wait in the pick-up zone for your child to arrive.

When exiting the school site onto the main road, please always turn left and use the roundabout, which is less than 100 m away, to change direction if required.

Visitor Parking

Please be aware that parking or driving onto school premises is not permitted between 8.45 am and 3.30 pm. Where possible, we ask that you park off-site and enter through the school’s pedestrian gate. Please do not park directly outside the gates. Cars parked here block visibility for other users and make it difficult to exit the car park safely.

In particular, we would like to clarify that the left-hand lane as you enter the school car park is a no-waiting / no-parking zone and is for immediate drop-off and pick-up only.
