Year 4

Junior School Curriculum

Transitioning from Year 3, Year 4 marks a significant step in the students’ educational journey at Eltham College, as we introduce them to an expanded array of subjects to improve their learning.

Continuing with English, Math, and Science, Year 4 aims to deepen students’ understanding and skills in these foundational subjects. Alongside these core areas such as English, Mathematics, and Science, our students begin exploring fresh subjects like Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education, focussing on important topics such as staying healthy, developing social skills, and learning basic money management.

Additionally, students embark on a new journey learning about Computers and Technology, where they gain fundamental knowledge about how computers work and how to use them effectively.

Year 4 plays a vital role in broadening our students’ horizons, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for future challenges. It also serves as a cornerstone in building a comprehensive educational base while nurturing diverse thinking and problem-solving abilities.

At Eltham College, our goal is to instil a love for learning and equip students with the tools necessary to thrive in their academic pursuits.
